Special guest speakers from the community include Chief Deputy District Attorney, Jennifer Gettle, Esq, who won the Governor’s advocacy award for her work with domestic violence victims, and domestic violence victims’ advocates, David Zayas. The event is open to all students and the general public (parking is free during the event). Attendees are encouraged to wear something purple, such as a hat, scarf, shirt etc. to symbolize domestic violence awareness as well as the unity that is required to make social change. Wearing purple clothing is voluntary and is not intended to impose a barrier to attending. Park in the Olmsted lots (free parking during the event).
